Abstract |
The article offers the author's view on the design and assessment of environments for older people in the U.S. She mentions her involvement in the Special Care Unit (SCU) initiative which encourages healthcare communities in supporting self continuity, individualize care and establishment of feel-like home places. She also notes a slight progress in promoting high quality of life for people with Alzheimer's disease in the country. |
