Abstract |
Sphaerodromiidae is reported from the Paleocene of Texas withDromilites? cardwelli (Armstrong, Nyborg, Bishop, Ossó-Morales, and Vega, 2009) new combination. The species is a sphaerodromiid but is too poorly preserved for confident generic placement. The morphology of the preserved sternum of D. ? cardwelli confirms placement in Sphaerodromiidae. Spaerodromiidae was previously known from the Cretaceous and Eocene; thus no range extension occurs. |
