A literary criticism of the book "Captains Courageous," by Rudyard Kipling is presented. Topics covered include the focus of the book on impressionist art, interest of the author in painting and comments on the narrations included in the book. Also mentioned is the association of the technique used by Kipling in the book with those that were used by other authors such as Pierre Loti, Henry James and Gustave Flaubert. |
