Canton Kent Stater May 28, 194805/28/1948Over 900 people attended the KSUC Astronomy club's dedication of its new 12-inch mirror telescope at the public astronomy exhibit held the evening of May 17 at the Union building. The big telescope, operated by Emanuel Karinos and John Paulson, was trained on the moon and brought that earth's satellite within 900 miles of the viewers. Twelve smaller telescopes, built and operated by students, brought Venus, Saturn, and other celestial bodies close to the earth. |

It also marks the date on which most of our students who have been with us two full years or almost two full years are concluding their work with us and, in a sense, "graduating." |
