This collection contains the sketchbooks from Pauline Trigère, dating 1944-1994.

In addition to identifying the date and season, unique clothing model numbers are always noted, and many sketches also incorporate fabric samples. Original photographs and advertisements are often included next to the corresponding sketch. Fashion show invitations for each season are also usually included, and provide additional information. Triggere’s design process was to create her clothing directly on the body, therefore different illustrators drew the sketches over the decades, creating distinct changes in the look of these books over time. 

The current digitization of the sketchbooks is funded with a National Endowment for the Humanities grant, and will be updated monthly beginning in August 2024.
