Abstract |
This research examined one aspect of the North American Child and Youth Care Certification Portfolio-Section 7: Diversity. A content analysis was conducted on a sample of 30 portfolios. Findings identified areas that applicants chose to address and several diversity themes. Implications of the findings suggest: (1) strategies to combat personal bias, (2) potential case scenarios and questions that could be used in the next revision of the case-based situational judgement certification exam, and (3) possible case scenarios for use in the education and training of child and youth workers. |
