Abstract

This poster provides results of a multi-institution, mixed-methods study on music faculty's instructional use of library resources today, before the pandemic, and during institutional closures. Through surveys and interviews the authors explore whether faculty have changed their format preferences during the pandemic. Additionally, attendees will learn how music faculty perceive non-library sources, what content they prefer, and what they want the library to prioritize for purchase. Librarians can use the findings to curate collections, spend acquisition funds more wisely, and better position their resources to thrive in the pandemic age and beyond.Learning OutcomesDetermine how the pandemic has impacted faculty use of library resources in instruction Discover how much music faculty rely on non-library sources for teaching Better understand current information needs and preferences of music faculty.
