The Distribution of Pollen on Butterfly Mouthparts

Abstract

The poster will display how pollen is distributed along the length of a butterfly proboscis by regions. It will detail specific methodology used and imaging techniques used as well. Data and results will be presented utilizing tables from ANOVA and T-tests.

Fredrick Hutson is a junior at Kent State Stark. He is completing a B.S. in psychology with a pre-med concentration, and he is planning on attending medical school.

Gabriella Laubacher is a junior at Kent State Stark. She is completing a B.S. in biology with a pre-med concentration and she is planning on attending medical school.

Kristen Reiter is a senior dual biology-anthropology major with concentrations in organismal biology and biological anthropology. After graduation, she plans to attend graduate school to earn her Ph.D. and eventually teach at a university and continue her research in evolutionary biology.
