Morning versus afternoon undergraduate classes may affect student participation due to fluctuations in brain activity and variations in alertness. Specifically, student participation in class may vary depending on the time of day a class is offered. The current study is an applied, naturalistic observation in which multiple observers go into the field to collect data for educational reasons. In this study, I hypothesis that students who have classes in the afternoon will participate more than students who attend classes in the morning. Data collection is ongoing and will conclude mid-March.
