Abstract |
College students have many different note taking styles that impact their study skills. The different types of note taking are important when looking at study skills to determine if they impact overall GPA. The method used to collect data about study habits were collected from an anonymous online survey given to Kent State University students. We hypothesize that students who have been taught good note taking skills have more effective study habits and higher grade point averages than those who have not been taught good note taking skills. Our second hypothesis is that college students who use colored ink to take notes also use highlighters in their study habits. Our study has been approved by Kent State Universities IRB and data collection is currently ongoing.
